Problem:
A customer managing a local shopping center required a radio system to cover the facility for its Managers, Engineers and Safety Officers. The system needed to combine both portable radios and in-vehicle mobile radios.
Red Cloud Solution:
Red Cloud designed a simple one-channel repeated system that incorporated a 25 watt UHF repeater, twelve Motorola HT1250 portable radios, and four CDM1250 mobile radios. Our skilled technicians and installers programmed all of the radios, built, optimized and installed the repeater and installed the mobile radios into the customer's vehicles.
Results:
The customer has excellent two-way radio coverage throughout the facility that they manage. The high quality of workmanship provided by the Red Cloud technicians and installers has ensured problem-free communications.
Repairs:
Problem:
A local construction company had a problem with their radio repair company. They had to ship their radios to a repair facility out of the area. There was no acknowledgement of receipt of equipment, no commitment of turnaround time, and long waits without any communications on when equipment would be returned. Once they were returned, they were in poor cosmetic condition and sometimes the original problem wasn't fixed. They then had to call the service department, go over the problem again, and re-ship the equipment. They were quite unhappy with the amount of time and manpower required to track each repair to be sure it was completed.
Red Cloud Solution:
Red Cloud offered repair service, with our local technicians. We provided pickup and delivery service in addition to trackable shipping options. We assigned a Red Cloud representative as the customer's local point of contact, so any questions could be quickly handled by an individual with first-hand knowledge of the issue. Each radio is tested before return, assuring that repairs are completed properly. A packing slip with serial numbers and work performed is delivered with each radio returned to the originator by their local Red Cloud representative.
Results:
The company chose to eliminate the shipping and tracking process. They now place a call to their Red Cloud Representative, and the equipment is picked up promptly. At pickup, the local Red Cloud representative provides triage on the radio, and a turnaround time estimate is given to the customer, along with an estimated cost. Now they know when to expect their equipment to be returned, repairs are completed properly, and they have a local point of contact if they have any questions or special needs.
On-Site Support:
Problem:
A rental customer was utilizing over 300 radios to manage a large sporting event and they required that the radio communications be professionally managed and run flawlessly.
Red Cloud Solution:
Red Cloud staff was able to provide expert On-Site Support for the duration of this customer's event. Red Cloud personnel were able to perform all check-in / check-out of radios and accessories, maintain a stock of charged replacement batteries, and have the ability to diagnose and repair or replace any malfunctioning equipment.
Results:
With dedicated Red Cloud On-Site Support the communications for this event surpassed the customer's expectations. All equipment performed to specification and no equipment was lost or missing at the end of the event. Best of all, the customer had the peace of mind of knowing that the vital communications component of their event was being handled by professionals.
